So - I have a college fair to attend tomorrow and I don't know what to wear - the problem is, I've been told conflicting information about how we're supposed to dress. Some people/guidance counselors have said to dress up because you'll be meeting important people while others have said to just dress normally...

The problem is - there really is no inbetween with me. My wardrobe consists of yoga pants and graphic tees alongside dresses and heels - so basically, I either go all out or not at all... What should I wear? Should I just go out and buy a simple blouse? Does it really matter? I don't want to look like a you-know-what by showing up in three inch heels and a dress when everyone else is in tees and jeans.

I don’t think a college fair merits heels and a dress, but you should look “presentable.” Like a nice shirt or blouse, maybe a scarf, and some (not yoga) pants and decent boots or flats. Or at least wear all neutrals so you look kind of put together.

I’ve never seen anyone dress up for a college fair. College fairs are generally crowded, hectic affairs… or at least, where I live, they are. These important people you’ll meet won’t be handling your application or anything.

In the college fairs I go to, it’s crowded and noisy and everyone just comes in t-shirts and jeans. Is it one of those fairs where the college reps stand at counters and you have to go to them? Because if it’s one of those, then I wouldn’t bother dressing up.
