What topics are covered in Bio M?

Am wondering if I need to learn some chapters on my own. My school syllabus goes something like this:

Respiration
Photosynthesis
Classical Genetics & Variation
Evolution
Viruses
Bacteria
Genetic engineering techniques
Proteins, carbohydrates and lipids
Enzymes
Homeostasis
Mitosis & Meiosis
The Nervous System
DNA & Molecular Genetics

It's very molecular-based. If I take the M version of Bio, will I have to learn other stuff on my own?

ivoryis, I took the Bio M test in June 2009, and as far as I can remember and tell, you’re on the right track. However, make sure you brush up on things like evolutionary distrubution trends, how enviroments are created, change, and interact. Though it’s the Bio M test, the first part of the test covers both the Molecular material and the Ecology. There’s twenty questions at the end that make it specifcally “Bio M.” Also, try to get some Anatomy in; I can’t remember exactly, but I’m pretty sure I remember questions about different anatomical systems (digestic, nervous, respiratory, etc.).

By “Respiration,” do you mean the “respiratory system” or Citric Acid Cycle, glycolysis, those types of things?

And I’m sure you already have that, but make sure you’re familiar with cellular functions, too.

Hopefully that helps. =)

its a mix of some ecology in the general questions part, which incorporates a bit of everything and some molecular. its definitely not all molecular

Thanks LadySpark and pinkumbrella10!

Yup, Respiration was all about glycolysis and the Krebs cycle- nothing on the respiratory system at all.

Guess I’ll have to start learning some of this other stuff on my own soon!
