I know AMCAS verifies the classes/grades and provides a report breaking down sGPA & "all other" GPA by year: Fr/Soph/Jr/Sr as well as one's cumulative summed at the bottom. Beyond that are copies of your actual transcripts also available for viewing by adcoms? are they all attached along w/the summary provided by AMCAS?

I've read through many forum posts here and @ SDN and it's not clear to me what is seen by adcoms beyond the AMCAS report with regard to grades/transcripts.

Since you mentioned SDN, why don’t you ask LizzyM there? She is an ADCOM.

Perhaps it would help to know why you are asking, what are you concerned about that would be on the transcript but not the AMCAS summary?

Just wondering as I’m an undergrad transfer how they differentiate between where courses where taken…have been made aware that the school the course was taken at is a part of the overall report AMCAS provides.

AMCAS just compiles everything into one long report stating where each course was taken as well as those #'s they compute for adcoms to see grade trends and the sGPA

Based on what I know, your transcripts won’t go to colleges. If you want to hear it from the horses mouth, as I said, you can ask one at SDN.

In addition to the school and grade, courses are listed in chronological order with the year & semester the course was taken, so med schools can see trends.

AMCAS calculates three gpas: BCPM, All Other, Total

Here is what AMCAS lists for each class:

School Name
Status
Year
Term
Course Class
Course No.
Course Name
Course Type
OT Hours
Sem Hours
OT Grade
AMCAS Grade
AMCAS Use

they see it exactly as how it shows on the amcas app
