What translation/edition of the iliad?

I'm going to be in the engineering school in the fall and I called up the school and asked them if I also had to read the iliad. They said I do, but I will not recieve a copy until I arrive on campus. I then asked them if they knew what translation/edition I would need and they said they didn't so I was wondering if you guys could tell me what translation/edition you have and whether it is the same for engineering students.

Eric321, it's the Richmond Lattimore translation, published by The University of Chicago Press. The ISBN is 0-226-46940-9.

SEAS freshmen typically don't take LitHum. I think most SEAS students take either LitHum or CC sophomore year. So you may be buying the book a year early. Or are you a transfer student taking LitHum?

Anyway, yes, as long as it's for LitHum, you will need the same editions for the books. There is also a LitHum syllabus available on the Core Curriculum website.
