<p>Only 3rd year and above math honors such as pre-calculus, 3rd year foreign language honors courses and 3rd year english honors count as honors.
All science honors and all AP courses are counted as honors.</p>
<p>If taken during freshmen year, courses do not affect your gpa.</p>
<p>actually, not all honors science courses count. For example, honors bio does not since it is typically a Frosh course. Generally, if it is taken during Frosh-Soph years it does not count. But, classes like honors pre-calc adn all AP/IB courses do count whenever taken.</p>
<p>OP if you are in-state, you can look up your HS on the doorways/pathways website and it will show which classes count.</p>
