I've always thought a liberal arts college would be best for me, but now I'm feeling like a larger university would be better and I'm indecisively shifting back and forth between the two.

So, I just thought I'd describe myself. I'm pretty reserved and a little offbeat in my interests (and I like being around other offbeat people). I don't like being around a lot of people and I like small class sizes. By the turn of the same coin, I would like to meet lots of different people and experience many events. I would love to be around many international students. However, rather than doing a lot of talking in class, I prefer to be a silent observer because that's how I best learn, so I wouldn't want to be graded on participation. I genuinely like learning for the sake of learning but I'm pretty much a slacker in my study habits and cannot bring myself to study. I hate lots of busywork, but I like to read textbooks. I don't want to be treated as a child in college, like I don't want my attendance to be closely monitored and such; I want to take charge of my own learning. I want to take interesting and unique classes, not just traditional ones offered everywhere. I want to have a lot of freedom, independence, and opportunity and I want to have an interesting atmosphere surrounding me. At the same time, I like the feeling of a small college, like feeling part of a community. I don't like Greek Life and such, but if it's not "stereotypical" Greek life and such (I know some schools have more inclusive Greek Life systems), I should be okay with it. I want personal attention and good resources available to me, as well as good support from the college administration, definitely not a college that is highly bureaucratic.

I know I sound so complicated, and perhaps even contradictory at some points. =/
But all of that said, what type of college would you recommend for me?
