What type of food do you eat while at college?

I'm moving into on campus apts this fall and this will the be first time for me moving away from home. I'm a picky eater as it is so I'm a lil worried I won't be eating much of anything as well as given my tight budget.

What kind of food do you all eat on an average? My campus doesn't provide a meal plan so yeh..

Yogurt’s pretty cheap at 50 cents a cup and is pretty healthy. I typically have one for breakfast. Cereal is a college staple. Sandwiches with turkey, ham, peanut butter, etc…Pretzels are good to snack on. I also sometimes get bananas and carrots.

I’m a vegetarian. Basically I eat cereal, pasta and pizza. Juice, milk and pop.I eat twice a day. Occasional fruit, some snacks. I don’t spend much money on food.

Cereal. Granola/Cereal Bars. Tuna fish. Wheat bread. Soups. Yogurt. Popcorn. Water. Milk. Apple Juice boxes. Nuts. Ben & Jerry’s. And the occasional fruit and trail mix that I looted from the dining hall.

But I have a meal plan. I usually eat breakfast and dinner. Lunch replaces breakfast if I see that they have something good like chicken tenders (yum), curly fries, or grilled cheese. Yay, junk food!

My favorite meals for breakfast are the pancake, waffles, and breakfast sandwiches consisting of a roll with American cheese, ham, and eggs. Oy, my arteries. And for dinner, my favorite meals are a big plate of salad with grilled chicken and other stuff from the salad bar; or pasta; or fish; or shrimps; or chicken fingers; top it off with dessert – a small bowl of ice cream or small slice of cake :)

i cook eggs, alot. mostly i make omelettes, add some ham, cheese, spinach onions maybe some green peppers, douse that sucker w/ hot sauce and feast.

a bagel w/ cream cheese and coffee is my staple breakfast.

I’m pretty OCD about healthy eating so i buy lots of spinach, broccoli, and tomatoes and make salads with them. The problem with salads is that they only fill you up temporarily :(
