My daughter will be entering SLU as a freshman next Fall. Wondering if an Apple laptop will be ok, or if she would be better off with something else? Thanks!
My son had an Apple laptop, but he complained that most classes assumed people had Windows-based laptops, so software for classes, if needed, was more likely Windows compatible. My son did use computers at the library when needed, too, as he didn’t like to haul it around.
If your student is computer savvy, the model won’t matter as much, but check with the department of the intended major to be sure. (Son was geology.)
