What type of science is most common in environmental engineering?

I'm interested in environmental engineering but I'm afraid it's really tied in with biology. But then I would guess that it could be more related to chemistry...which I hope because I like chemistry a lot more than biology. I'm not a huge fan of biology because I feel there are so many terms to memorize and I prefer memorizing formulas and calculating things.

And another question: I really like math and problem solving (as you might have figured out by now), is there any type of engineering that is more math oriented?

One thing I notice a lot is that people mistakenly think ‘environment’ in environmental engineering and assume that it’s …well not really what it is. It’s mostly dealing closest with civil engineering. I suggest you actually look up what an actual environmental engineer deals with, a quick Google search will give you tons of information.
