What typos have you made thus far?

As I was glancing through my Duke application which I submitted yesterday, I noticed three really careless mistakes. I even spelled collected wrong....'colleted'...I mean, come on! Really?!

Then, I came across what is perhaps the greatest application mistake of all time:

<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/470497-clam-fart-oh-my-god-what-did-i-do.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/470497-clam-fart-oh-my-god-what-did-i-do.html</a></p>

With deadlines fast approaching and thousands of us scrambling to finish up so many supplements, I've just been wondering: what mistakes have you all made on your applications?

Happy Holidays and best of luck with your remaining apps!

One of the cc greats! Hope it helped put things in perspective.

My S3 realized after the CApp had been sent to half of his schools that his work description read he “helped costumers”. I actually laughed over that for days (I know, supportive parent). ;)

I have to think admissions gets monotonous and they have a sense of humor. Who hasn’t been the victim of autocorrect?

Lmao@ Clam fart…

I made a their/there error in the first paragraph of my Common App essay three years ago. Got into H, P, UChicago, and Duke early write, among others. Adcoms really aren’t out to get you.

And less than a week before decisions come out, i realized I made ANOTHER typo.
“Barack’s Obama’s statewide campaign”
SERIOUSLY?!

Used “I could also help” twice in two sentences. -_-

I used ‘exiting’ in place of ‘exciting’ on one of my Common App essays.
