What u need for Stanford?

Whats the average GPA u need for Standford and SAT for Stanford?
What kind of passion do u need to get into Stanford? Man Im so overwheelmed with college decisions since im a Junior and i have to start choosing colleges!!!!

For the Class of 2007, the average GPA of admitted students was 3.9. The median SAT I score was 1450. 90% of admits were in the top 10% of their high school class.

3.9 W? Also, top 10% entirely depends on high school, anyways :) Top 10% in my HS wouldn't be too difficult at all :p

Thats crazy i picked my colleges the in the fall of my senior year. You guys start early. I dicided what colleges i was gonna apply to in like late november.

oneunknown: A lot of people need to visit colleges in order to know if they like them, and that requires a lot of planning ahead.

You need to have greater than a 3.95 UW GPA, but less than a 4.2 W. Your SAT score must be greater than 2200, but people score over 2350 are deemed to be overachieving bookworms who do not fit the well-rounded Stanford profile. Furthermore, it is in your best interest that your highest score come from one sitting of the test. Combined scores are given a -10% weighting, then rounded down to the nearest 10.

If you really want to get in, you should find the cure for cancer, or the common cold, but participating in RSI may satisfy the adcoms in some cases. Being a NHS member results in automatic rejection. Banal EC's including, but not limited to, Debate Club, Piano, Violin, Balet, and pretty much anything that anyone else does reduce your chances in direct proportion to the amount of people that participate in the given activity.

They expect you to have more than 100 hours of community service, with no more than 13 coming from work at a hospital.

If you really want to get in though, here's the secret: stop caring about GPA's and SATs and what you "have to do" to get into Stanford. Do what you ****ing want to do, and if you deserve it, they'll let you in.

:) I love how being a rickoid falls underneath curing cancer. It's not impossible to get into RSI, just extremely difficult.

LOL, run4fun's post is hilarious.

haha, cheers run4fun!
