SATs:1750

Hoping to get both up

And I do believe I have a kick ads essay

im just worried about a few Cs and mainly the Fs, and the D. i hope you somehow made back those credits. reply back whether or not, and then we can have a better guesstimate. until then, its very very slim to none…

You look better than me for the UCs. I have a 3.75 GPA, took half a year of AP stats (got an A) but I will be in AP calculus and AP physics this upcoming year. Did horrible on the SAT and no community service/clubs (only sports).

@Te4mVygrin yes but you have a better GPA.

Calculate your UC-weighted GPA. My hunch is that your chances aren’t terribly good at any UCs other than Merced, Riverside, and possibly UCSC.

Here’s what I think are your chances for the UCs

•UC Berkeley- Deny
•UC Davis- Accept/ Waitlist
•UC Irvine- Waitlist/Deny
•UCLA- Deny
•UC Merced- Accept
•UC Riverside- Accept
•UC San Diego- Deny
•UC San Francisco- Only for graduate and professional studies
•UC Santa Barbara- Waitlist/Deny
•UC Santa Cruz-Waitlist/Accept

Are you a Cali resident? This could change your chances.

You need to calculate your UC GPA, but estimating your GPA and using the SAT & ACT you posted, I think you would be accepted by Merced & Riverside. Possibly Santa Cruz.

According to their admission policy, the UC’s require all applicants to have at least a 3.0 gpa (3.4 if nonresident) with no grade lower than a C. So I would look at other schools if I were you.

As danebrick said, I don’t think UCs accept students with grades lower than C’s. However, you’ll probably make it to UC Merced, Santa Cruz, or Riverside if you keep improving,

@IAmTheGOAT actually im ahead of credits like 55 credits ahead as far as graduating high school goes.

@tactical yes im a California resident

@Dream0n well my gpa took a big jump junior year im improving but im applying in November all I have left as far as classes goes are difficult senior year classes.

@Dream0n also all my bad grades were sophomore year and I was stupid back then andI overloaded myself and broke down and its unfortunate but I cant change that but what are my chances.

Go to community for a year or two and get a 3.7 or so and transfer wherever you want.

@Maggie I’d prefer straight out of high school

You should talk to the school’s administration. Do you have a hook?

@Dream0n I dont exactly know what you mean what you see in the description is what you get Ihave personal things but its not stuff to put on a college application

It doesn’t really matter that you have more then required credits, unfortunately. It’s just that you have a D and Fs. That is going to hurt, unless you have a very good reason for why you scored low on those, and can convey that to the admissions committee.
