What universities can I get into?

Hi! I’m currently a Junior in high school and I’m not sure where I want to go, or what schools I could even get into. Here are my stats…
GPA: 3.8/3.9 unweighted
ACT: 30
Major: Interactive Design, Computer graphics, Graphic design, Game design, etc etc
AP Courses: 4 (Comp Sci Principles, US History, World History, Lang, and I think I’m taking 3-4 more senior year)
(I also took mostly honors classes for other core subjects)
Ethnicity: Asian
Extracurriculars:

  • two volunteering Presidential awards (100+ hours)
  • play traditional Korean drums
  • JV cheer (freshman and sophomore year) and JV captain
  • Varsity cheer (junior and planning on doing it again senior year)
  • Y2Y club since freshman year (drug and alcohol abuse awareness club)
  • National Honors Art Society

I want to attend Northeastern University as of now, but I’m open to other schools as well. With my major and stats, what other schools would I be fit for? Thank you for reading

What can your family afford?

What state do you live in?

Can you afford to be full pay at Northeastern? Have you run the NPC?

There are a lot of universities that you could get into with your stats. What you can afford and what would be a good fit for you are questions that will be impossible to answer without more information.

What do you want to study? Do you want a large university in a large city? Are you a US citizen or permanent resident and if so what state do you live in?

Assuming you want a University and not an Art School then:

CMU as a high reach
U Cincinnati
Virginia Commonwealth

If you’re ok with Art Schools
RISD
Parsons
Pratt
RIT
MD Institute
CA Institute

Retake the ACT and/or try a practice SAT to see if that works better for you. For Northeastern, 30 is below the 25th percentile for both admitted and enrolled students.

Additional schools that come to mind: RIT, RPI

Budget and state of residence are key issues that we need answers about to help you.

I’m aiming for around 30k a year and I live in New York

Thanks.
So, look at SUNYs (Bing, Stony Brook, Buffalo, Geneseo). Do you qualify for the Excelsior scholarship?
Add RPI and WPI (both matches) plus Champlain (academic safety, gamers’ paradise), run the NPC.

I thought you might like to hear some Korean music from a WPI alumnus with a PhD in Electrical Engineering. Evidently he is a hit in Korea. Many musical selections @ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jazcEKzDjWk&list=RDsNUGswxVZf0&index=15. These are broadcast from the Korean public network. Read about him @ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Im_Tae-kyung. :bz
