What Universities Catch Snow On Campus?

Which universities get pouring snow on their campus, anyone know of any?

SUNY Plattsburgh. We practically live(d) in igloos.
The weird thing was sometimes it would heavily snow but still be warm outside at the same time.

Ah, I miss Plattsburgh.

I have a friend who went to SUNY-Potsdam and another who went to SUNY-Oswego. I believe at Oswego, they actually have a tunnel (or is it skywalk?) system to help students stay inside as much as possible during the winter. It’s fairly constant lake effect snow there during the winter, so it can get pretty harsh.

^^ They had that at Plattsburgh too. A tunnel for avoiding the snow that connected all of the buildings and dorms.

Michigan Tech

Haha, when I read the title of the thread I totally didn’t think this was about weather.

Cornell has its fair share…

Syracuse probably gets more snow than any other university in the United States. Averages about 10 feet of it each year.

SUNY Oswego gets the most snow out of any school in NY. Because lake effect snow hammers it constantly. The great lakes dont freeze over the winter; so they continue to hammer Oswego. In Oswego it is common to get a foot of snow within a hour. Look up pictures on google of the blizzard of 07. As for Cornell, a mist compared to what lays at Oswego (just helped my brother move in about a week ago). Syracuse is pretty bad but nothing like Oswego, I live in Utica and we pretty much the same amount. Hope that helps.

Forgot about Oswego. That place gets pummeled, all the time. Must be fun if you like snow.

I’d say Caltech, Stanford, UC Berkeley and UCLA.

Lol just kidding. My vote goes to Dartmouth.

You all have missed what I think is the obvious winner: Michigan Tech. snow, snow, snow, snow, snow, snow, and then more snow.

We got a little snow last week and everyone panicked. Now, it’s 77 degrees outside. So, no, not here. I go to GT in Atlanta.

How about Alaska Pacific University?

There might be a community college in Valdez Alaska. They get 36 feet (not inches) of snow each year.

UWMadison, or any northern Midwestern school really. My favorite part is seeing everyone walking outside right after the snowfall before it’s plowed. It’s like little baby deer on their feet for the first time, not sure exactly where to step, slipping every which way. It warms my heart on those freezing mornings.

Dartmouth, which has a famous annual Winter Carnival where the students build major ice sculptures.

Middlebury

Plus my interviewer emphasised the snow aspect a lot:)
