What Universities should I look at?

Fortunately, there are at least 100 really good CS programs in the US. It won’t matter a darn to American employers where you go to school but rather your GPA, what technologies you learned, what you learned at your internships, and the fact that you’re not American. I don’t know if where you go to school will matter to Canadian companies. The salary you make in the US will be determined by where you live and the cost of living there and not by where you go to school.

So you’re in luck if you intend to work in the US. You can go to darn near any college you can think of that has a CS program. Here’s an old thread that tackles your question:

<a href=“Computer Science Undergrad Rankings - College Search & Selection - College Confidential Forums”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-search-selection/1284752-computer-science-undergrad-rankings.html</a></p>

But, remember, you can go at least 100 deep in a USNWR ranking and still get a very good education. Since one of your concerns could be cost of attendance, you can probably create a list of schools to learn more about when you find the 20 that your family can afford. Run the net price calculators at each school to find the 20.
