@Poojee1 Whilst Engineering is difficult and requires more time than many other majors, I would hope that you would have time for fun. It’s an important part of college. I would assume you’ll have the same time at nearly all the schools…limited, but available.
Your revelation of an in-state scholarship changes the math a bit (for me). If you’re serious about Engineering, and what to maximize your parents generous offer, I would suggest you “bank” their money now and use it toward graduate school. Obviously you should visit and decided, but an in-state discount of 50% (ie a ~75% over anywhere else) is difficult to pass up…unless your parents won’t notice the difference financially.
