Algebra I was definitely better for me. I had a great teacher and the class was just more interesting in general. Geometry was easy too but my teacher wasn’t as good and the class seemed redundant to me.

I liked algebra, it made sense to me, but I’m a very visual person so geometry was cool too.

alegbra is way easier

Definitely geometry. I took Algebra I in 8th grade is it was horrible talk about working my butt of to get a low B, but I must have had an IQ jump from 8th to 8th because Geometry was a breeze. Algebra II piece of cake. Pre-Calc…doubt it with my eyes closed. All if my math course have been Pre-AP.

Algebra 1 was tough for me. I had to take it twice.
Geometry is hard because I’m not good at seeing things mentally. But it’s fun, so I like it anyway.

Geometry was so so easy.

Algebra I, hands down. Even though I took it in 7th grade and the teacher was moronic. She literally walked in the first day of class and said that she hasn’t done this in 20 years, so she’s just going to have to learn along with us. Anyway, the real problem I had with Geometry was the proofs. Also not a huge fan of graphs. They just bug me. But I’m in Algebra II and I adore it! So easy!

Geometry was easier, but I enjoyed Algebra I more

I sucked at them both. Algebra II was much easier, I was even able to get an A.

I caught onto Geometry easier but overall, I’m better at Algebra I.

I found both of them easy. I had a very difficult time with Algebra II and Precalc, but calculus was easy.

i am excellent in geometry and i suck in algebra .

They’re both really easy, but I did better in Algebra. Honestly though, that probably has to do with the teacher- she was great, and my Geometry teacher hadn’t ever taught it before so he didn’t teach it that well.

I felt geometry was slightly easier than high school algebra (as opposed to abstract algebra, which I’m taking this fall).

I have a question – why do they almost always teach proofs exclusively in geometry? I feel like from an educator’s viewpoint, this is not a great idea.

Algebra. I hate proofs. So useless and thats all they go over. Imo, if they look equal, then they are equal

Both were really easy. I ended up with a high A in both.

I LIKED Algebra better, but that’s just an opinion.

Algebra 1 was a joke. Geometry was annoying though but I still aced it.

I got terrible grades in Algebra I, but I thought it was still easier than Geometry, in which I had straight A-. But I like Algebra 2 w/Trig better than both.

@muhammad Not always. I think the reason people hate proofs is that the standard curriculum doesn’t teach it well and they’re only used in geometry. Virtually all fields of mathematics require being able to prove your results.

Algebra I was really easy for me and I aced it with little effort.
Geometry was an awful class for me. I barely managed to survive the year with a B and that was out of pure luck.
