Mine was about inconsitent ideas...i talked about John Kerry, used and example of a lawyer and used example of relationship with others

I put that changes in behavior equals adaptations to environment and how that's obviously important to survival (had an algae and a human example).

And also how this guy (Victor Frankl) who wrote this pretty famous book about life in a concentration camp said that his changed views on suffering and meaning of life and whatnot helped him live or whatever.

.< ANd also added a bit about Scarlatti cuz he was a composer lol at the last minute.

what was ur essay about

my essay is =it is best not to change our ideas, thoughts, behaviors

i disagreed and said that change is for the best, i used a personal experience and herbert hoover during the Great depression

Example 1: USFG slavery (change=good)
Example 2: USFG internment camps in WWII (hypocrisy=bad)
Example 3: Workplace--other religions (flexibility/openness=good)
Example 4: Workplace--boss' hypocrisy (hypocrisy=bad)

I believe if it's about change, then you need a balance. There is bad, sudden, hypocritical change, and there is good, flexible, liberal change.

4 examples?! I only used 2! One personal, one literature.

Well, I think it was basically two examples, but both examples reflected the good and bad sides of changing ideas etc.

Mine was about what motivates people. I used Macbeth, J.P. Morgan and Tateh from Ragtime.

Inconsistency/Change essay.

Examples were both instances where change should have been used:
- Napoleon's march to Moscow
- The Bundren's insistence on fording the river in As I Lay Dying.

I'd rate it as one of the easier to support prompts.

anyone got the essay that is about limit on ability to change life?

^ I did. I said it was unlimited.

Example 1: Esther Greenwood of The Bell Jar/u
Example 2: WWII and the SS leaders
Example 3: FDR's New Plan

Mine was about changing behaviors/opinons.
I said you should change, because of the changes that occurr to ourselves and society over time. And that sometimes it is imperitive to change/compromise our beliefs in order to attain our goals.

Example 1: Woodrow Wilson and his League of Nations. How he failed to compromise and be more flexible, resulting in loss of his dream

Example 2: How growing up I always accepted my parents ideals and opinions as my own but once i became more mature and learned things for myself, i began to develop my own views on life.

is it best not to change our ideas, opinions, or behaviors?

no, it is best to change our ideas, opinions, or behaviors

example 1: WWI and Treaty of Versailles, how Germany had to change its behaviors and such...also with League of Nations how the countries had to talk out differences instead of starting a war

example 2: MLK Jr. and his "I Have a Dream" Speech that urged America to change its ideas, opinions, and behaviors concerning African Americans and other minority groups
