What WAS/IS your error?

You have all heard of the infamous “clam farts” error on a Yale application. I’m sure many of us have spotted at least 1 error on our application/supplement that makes/is making us go crazy nervous!

WHAT WAS YOUR ERROR ON THE BROWN APPLICATION?

If you aren’t a current applicant, did you get in with the error?

Just for laughs.

I honestly have not gone back and looked at my essays or application since I hit “submit”. No need to make myself more anxious than I already am.

I started to freak out when I went back to the common app, and saw the screen say something along the lines of this “Warning, the sides of application may run off on the paper, depending on the school, they may or may not be able to see all of the information.” Of course my application did run off, and I freaked out so much I had to call the admissions office, where a rep had to calm me down and say everything would be okay :)

Looking back now, it was honestly a waste of time haha, errors are errors.

I forgot to put my name/birth date/school on the top of my supplement essay; however, I mailed an updated version to the admissions office. This was for ED from which I was deferred.

^I just realized I forgot to do that. And Brown is my #1. Oh well, too late to do anything about it now, I’m kind of over my regret already. Hopefully nothing too horrendous occurred as a result of this.

There is no need to put your name, DOB and other info on the Essay if you submitted it via commonapp.org. They dowbnload the entire app as one package and supplement as one package.

oh that’s good news.

rkay123 is right. No need to panic if you didn’t include that information on the supp essay. Each application is downloaded as a package.

@whoazoe, exactly. After double and triple checking before clicking “Submit”, I told myself that I would never go back to check again. I can say confidently that there were no mistakes and if there was a tiny error somewhere (hopefully not), there’s no use in worrying about it now.
