Does anybody know for a fact, or at least have an estimate, of what the percent of students Newhouse accepted this year?

bump… anyone know?

We were at the Open House in August, and the Newhouse presenter said that “last year” they had over 4,500 applications for Newhouse and accepted 300. (And students gasped, and parents sighed…)

I’m sure that they accepted more than 300 - that was probably the yield. Syracuse, especially Newhouse, does not like to give application acceptance stats. There is a recruitment staff member at the school and if you email him directly, he might give you an idea.

Yeah, I visited the Newhouse school today, and found out for the class of 2015, there were 360 spots for about 4600 applications.

yeash. Thanks for crushing my dreams.

Newhouse has had an approximate 30% yield over the past few years. That would translate to approx 1,000 acceptances which translates to approx a 25% acceptance rate. That is for “straight Newhouse” acceptances. Dual enrollments are not included (because the “home school” becomes the dual school; i.e. Arts and science, Whitman, etc)

All the above are approximations extrapolated by various forms of data compiled over the past four years

Alright, I feel a little more confident now I guess hehe… Thanks rodney
