Well i am assuming we had the same test form. I don't remember exactly which section it was but i am almost positive that the 20 minute section with 16 questions was the experimental. (Provided u got 4 math sections). i got 2 25 mins and 2 20 mins sections. one of the 20 mins was the student responce so i guess the second 20 mins was the experiemntal

jagenius, you're only supposed to have ONE 25 min section w/out the student produced answers, so ajkcorner1, if we had the same test form, section 3 was the experimental one (the one w/ the weird formula w/ volume and height thing)

Ok you are confusing me now. A far as i know it there should be 2 25 mins and 1 20 mins section.

My only student responce questions came in the 20 minute section. If section 3 was the equating section then that would mean i had 1 25 mins section and 2 20 mins sections. This is not consistent with the normal format of the test.

There's NO WAY to know whether a section is experimental or NOT!!!

Be that as it may i am still sticking with my conclusion (it doesn't matter to me which way it goes actually)

jagenius, at the risk of insulting your memory, I doubt you actually had a 20 min grid-in section. Of course, I may be wrong, but I doubt it mainly because that would make your test 5 min shorter than everyone else's.

Plus, if you had the same test form as I did, then it has already been proven that section 3 (the one w/ the weird formula) is the experimental section b/c other people who had experimental sections in other subjects (like CR) didn't have that math section. 88888888, there IS a way to know whether a section is experimental or not, though probably not during testing.

Of course I mean not during testing. Because college board tells you which sections are experimental a few days after the test. Why are they saying so and so section is experimental if there is no way to tell...

During the December's SAT There was 2 straight CR sections right after the essay and everyone was saying that the 2nd CR was experimental. but when college board announced the experimental, it was the 1st CR was experimental.

When does collegeboard announce the experimental sections? Does it announce it on the website, or...?

ya on the website. Probably on middle of next week.

If my memory is actually failing me then who cares. I went in there to answer all the questions (I did) and not try to determine which was the experimental. Probably i miss read the time but i find it hard i would make a mistake like that. I think i got a relative decent grade and i am happy.

wuts an experimental section

I had a critical reading section with 25 questions.. that means that's the experimental sec.?

which question had the "weird formula"?

I dont want to look on the math thread because I don't want to be worrying about how many I missed.

I had a writing experimental section, in which i had 4 E's out of 6 questions. -.-

so I think everyone agrees section 3 of math was experimental-- what were some of the questions from it?
