I don't know if this is really the best website to discuss this, but for any of you who watched yesterday's south park, what message do you think they were trying to send? It was probably on of the most sad episode ever aired.

Trey and Matt’s contract only extends to the end of this season, so it’s possible they don’t want to renew it and they’re setting it up to end the show.

i hope not…

it was strange though, no truly funny parts.
just lots, and lots of doodie.

I missed it, anyone want to give a synopsis?

watch it online at southparkstudios.com

Pretty much Stan turns 10, and starts seeing everything as “crap.” He sees music as crap, movies as crap, even his friends as crap. He turns into what Matt and Trey call a “cynical *******.” While this is all happening, Randy becomes obsessed with new “Tween Wave Music” to make himself feel young. At the end of the episode, Randy and Sharon get into a giant fight, which ends in both of them yelling that they feel unhappy. So, it ends with them separating, and moving away. In the last scene, Stan is lying in his bed staring up at the camera.

I think @canonlyhope is right. I bet this is a way to end South Park. This is South Park’s 15th season. It’s been going on long enough.

I’ve heard that south park is on contract for about 7 more episodes so I don’t know what they could possibly do with those. It did feel like the series ending though because Kyle and Cartman are shown having fun and becoming friends so i’m really looking forward to seeing what they can possibly pull with these last episodes.

I see two possibilities:

1) Stone/Parker are feeling what Sharon says near the end of the episode, something along the lines of “Each week it’s the same ****, just a different story.” They’re just going through the motions for the last 7 episodes (which, in fact, is the number of episodes left on the contract) and will end the series after 15 seasons.

2) Stone/Parker are satirizing (if you will) the South Park audience. Don’t forget that SP’s been on the air for a good decade (if not more) already. Their audience has grown significantly older and perhaps Stone/Parker are making fun of the critics that have, as they grow older, criticized the show for being too childish, etc.

Just my two cents.

I just watched it today and for some reason it reminds me of the book, “The Cather in the Rye.” Looks like south park is finally ending.

No I don’t want South Park to end. :(

* He turns into what Matt and Trey call a "cynical ******."

I lol’ed when I heard the doctor say this.

ha. I lol’ed at that, too. I did not think that the episode was too funny, but I found it hilarious when one of the old guys said that Steamy Ray Vaughn and Steamy Nicks were “filling their britches” haha. And when he further said “man, can’t they give those good britches a rest?”

They could be ending the show. Or they could be playing us (the audience) like a finely tuned cello. They tend to be good at that.

My guess is the latter.

Finally someone is discussing this!

I personally think they are just going to do something different (like the whole arc with keney being dead)

Yes I know I sucks at spelling :/

They could be, but I kinda doubt it. It seem as if everyone is changing. Kyle is starting to agree with Cartman. Stan is growing up and seeing how life is so “****ty.” Just as Holden from The Catcher in the Rye felt about life. The only thing that inspired Holden was his baby sister and the only thing that inspired Stan was his friends, but later found out they ditched him since he was changing. Kyle would usually help Stan but Stan started to see him as "crap’’ too. I just think the show is going to end with everyone moving on from their past lives. I wonder how the next episode will play out.

Well, we get to wait until October to see. :P

South park is quitting because you touch yourself at night

Color=white.[/Color]

Really, october? As long as none of my other shows get canceled I’m not worried too much.
