<p>I had this book [Amazon.com:</a> 50 Successful Harvard Application Essays, Third Edition: What Worked for Them Can Help You Get into the College of Your Choice (Harvard Crimson) (9780312624385): Staff of the Harvard Crimson: Books](<a href=“http://www.amazon.com/Successful-Harvard-Application-Essays-Third/dp/0312624387/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1290648922&sr=8-3]Amazon.com:”>http://www.amazon.com/Successful-Harvard-Application-Essays-Third/dp/0312624387/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1290648922&sr=8-3) and it really helped me.
My essay topic was to make a topic and answer it, while revealing something interesting about me. So, my actual topic was my favorite part of the day and why. It was really open-ended with no structure at all. I didn’t use specific examples either, now that I think about it. I just wrote, more in a narrative format than what you’d think an essay is. Btw, I said my favorite part was laying in bed before sleeping, because I could think… and it kinda took off from there.
I hope this helped. The point of the essay is to show them a slice of yourself. I believe there’s an old thread here where people posted their essays after they got accepted?</p>
<p>Thank you! Your answer helped a lot. Sorry, but do you know which thread it was
because I can’t seem to find
it…</p>
