everyone has a 3.9-4.0 GPA and 2200 + SAT's, so i want to know what someone's hook might be to get them in. obviously i cant just take someone elses passion, but im trying to think up something of my own and havent come up with anything

passions include those things that you want to do when you are free. If you love movies or playing video games that could be one. If you collect stamps, or do social service, that too could be your passion. passions dont always have to be programming with c++ or playing violin, or writting short stories.

But i think adcoms will love everything better than watching movies or playing video games. Telling about stamp collection, even rock collection (i mean different types) is good. It shows them that you are living person with some life, emotion.

You’re chasing a phanthom. What PTon looks for is not something you can “come up with”. It’s who you already are or are not.

It might help you to read through the “hidden ECs” thread.

House M.D.
Then some video i saw about the graduating class of 2011(?). They made the school seem like a fun place with fun people. So i applied. Yea, i didn’t really weigh the academics. after all, it’s an ivy.
