I really doubt youll be rejected with 2100. I've seen acceptances of 1600 or 1700+. most of the people seem to be 1700-2000 though. edit: if you have around 2000 you have a really good chance of getting in if your other stats are up to par.

Make sure you really study if you plan to take the SAT again as a senior. It's the easiest way to dramatically increase your chances for the college you want to go to. Like, study A LOT.

yeah SAT is my only chance now.

My GPA is terrible and my EC's are mediocre.

I plan to retake that in October and the Math II for SAT II in November.

Do you think I have a shot if my GPA is around 3.6 for sophmore and junior years (yes that's weighted :(), 1800-1900 SAT score, volunteer at hospital and a few other small things, Indian club, Interact Club, Jazz Band club, and investing+ using options in the stock market all summer (heh I dont know if this means anything) would be enough to give me a good chance at UCI?

I think you do have a shot. Right now im looking at a topic on the uci2011 facebook group and it seems like the average is about 3.7 or so but your SAT is decent.

Just keep studying for SAT and maybe involve yourself in a leadership position in a club next year so you can write it on your app.

It isn't too early to study for the SAT. I took half of the day off before the day of the SAT to cram. I think it helped even though people don't tell you to cram before the test.

How do you suggest I fill up the EC's part of the app? I really don't have too much, quite pathetic.

Little_Duck: Don't give up! My stats are similar to yours. I am accepted to UCI Bio Sci. Continue your hospital volunteer work. Write a killer essay. Following are my stats:
