Okay, so I just realized that next year, when I’m a junior, I’ll be taking a totally different test this year…
Its supposed to be much easier, especially english (where I failed)
So isn’t the score I got this year almost worthless?

@Spiral7 I got my PSAT scores this week, I’m a sophomore, I think juniors get theirs a little later… maybe it depends on the school but I know guidance passed back score reports to us and we could then enter a code to the college board website to find our AP compatibility, etc.

@livelaugh7 if you omitted some questions, it is likely that the method is inaccurate and that you actually did better than what it said. For example, I am sure that I got 3 more CR right but it said I had it wrong, because I omitted some near the end, and of course, these wrong answers came right before these omitted questions. So you probably DID do better on the math and the reading and I am guessing probably scored in the 180s-190s. But it all depends on if you omitted. If you didn’t you probs got a 179

@averagewhiteguy I don’t remember omitting any… maybe 1 in CR but it wouldn’t have made a difference actually.
IDK, I’ll find out on Friday and let you know :D

@livelaugh7 and to answer your question, this score isn’t completely worthless because although we are taking a completely new test next year, we still have the option to take the fall SAT. The revised SAT will not be administered until the spring so we can take this one if we are more comfortable with it in the fall. Personally, I think I am going to take both and just send the better scores to colleges. I hope this helped @livelaugh7 and good luck bro.

@chloeplef congrats on your score. That’s great for a sophomore. I only know one dude in my grade who beat that. He got a 201, he’s a genius, takes calc as a sophomore, ap bio, and ap euro and manages to get A’s in all of them. He took the test with no prep and pulled a 201 but just that you are in the same league as people like that is awesome. I’m also a sophomore and probably got somewhere between 185-190. According to palms method, I got a 185 but apparently there is some glitch where if you omit questions, the method is not accurate. My breakdown was M: 67 W: 65 CR: 53 (12 wrong 5 omit but I know that I answered at least 3 questions that it said I got wrong correctly). Maybe this is a glitch but I guess I will find out on Friday.

@averagewhiteguy congrats on your score too! I only omitted one question, I wish I would’ve done more…I’m pretty happy with my score because I’m planning to take an SAT in the spring before I start prepping (my mom’s sophomore score was her highest, even after she took prep classes her score went down, and I’ve heard scores going down is not uncommon), I only know 2 kids who broke 200 in my school too. I feel like my scores pale in comparison to some kids on here but I didn’t prep and this was my first experience with PSATs so I’m pretty happy. Good luck with your scores!

Freshman PSAT: 168
Sophomore PSAT: 193
Junior PSAT: 200
Crushed about how bad my junior score was since i skipped a space on my answer sheet giving me 5 reading comprehension questions in a row wrong. Oh well. I have no made that mistake on the SAT yet

I’m a sophomore and I got a 217 which is good because it means that next year I might get the National Merit Scholarship thingy if I do even better. The only problem is that they’re changing the test next year so I really don’t know if I’ll be able to do as well.

@dsi411 From what I’ve heard/read, the CR is getting easier and math is getting harder. Writing is being combined with CR (I think, correct me if I’m wrong), so I think you will be ready!

I’m a sophomore and I didn’t study, but I got a 194 on my first try, if I bump it up about 16 points I will qualify for the NMSQT, that’s not impossible so I’m happy with it!
