I’ve been thinking about college since 2nd Grade, in 5th Grade I took JHU’s CTY SAT, and I was just like hey, they think I’m smart, yay. I haven’t been doing so well in high school, but Fall 2010-Spring 2011 is a new year. My brother got accepted to Indiana University Bloomington, but he’s a really dull kid, so I assumed from the get go, I could do much better. (Sorry if you took any offense to this Cody :l).

google that ****.

I literally did not even begin to concern myself with college research/information until January 2008 (my sophomore year of high school). The thought of college seemed so distant, scary, and irrelevant in my little high school bubble world, and I always figured that it would just be one of those things to worry about when the time came.

But then I discovered my school’s College & Career Center and began spending a ton of time in there, just looking at viewbooks for various schools and reading college guidebooks. What REALLY got me hooked on college research was Princeton Reviews 368 Best Colleges Book. Shortly after, I discovered CC. And the rest is history.

I’m proud to say that today all of my friends come to me when looking for college statistics and info.
I still find it fascinating and almost wish I could repeat the whole research process one again. =]

lol…how about fall of senior year…when I was beginning to process college apps? XD

Dunno. I learned that my dad got into Harvard, and that was probably a bit after I got into my top choice high school… I toured the school and they had some “Congrats Seniors” messages on the bulletin boards in the lobby with everybody’s name and the college they got into. I think one kid got into Harvard and a couple into NYU, Columbia, Penn, etc… I looked on the website for exact details, and ever since, I’ve wanted to get into one of those schools.

Begining of 8th grade year. I dont remember why really. I was looking up stats for colleges and while Googling there was this really interesting place called College Confidential that told people what they needed to do to be successful.

Some advice I’ve followed, some I haven’t. In two years, I’ll letchu know how that worked for me!
