What will follow your acceptance/rejection?!

@ajhhs12 Same. I told my parents decisions come out Friday so I can have a mental day before telling anyone.

@ bbear12 Solid list…#1 is by far my favorite though

haha hey everyone… I also don’t live so far from Columbia… and if we all get in, i’d down for a cc meetup!

If I get in, I’ll make sure this CC meeting happens

@schemmy888 Definitely!

And the best acceptance song is Empire State of Mind… i started listening to it just now, imagining myself getting that acceptance letter…and then I got sad because its prob not gonna happen. But it was nice to fantasize about it.

acceptance- after I’ve calmed down and realizing what just happened, I’ll most likely drive to Columbia and buy apparel with the visit finished by running up the stairs of Low and hugging alma matter ;____;

rejection- copious amounts of food, maybe some tears, laying in bed listening to depressing songs while staring at the ceiling

^ agreed with the ingestion of copious amounts of food/chocolate. (btw, your screen name is awesome ;P)

either way, I’m going to be eating lots of food: either comfort food or celebration food.

@nebbalish - haha thank you ;3

Guys: it’s official. 3 MORE DAYS.

Three days plus 11 hours… it’s that last ten hours that’ll kill you.

Accepted: …I don’t even know what to say. So happy that I’d die.

Rejected: Oh well… It wasn’t meant to be. A little sad and disappointed, but not surprised :(.

I think I’ll listen to Empire State of Mind (like everyone else. haha.) followed by Run This Town.

Best of luck to all you. Stay strong in these last few days!

hey guys. so I got the email from Columbia admissions, giving me my Online Decision PIN Number, and I followed the directions, and clicked “here” to receive your password via e-mail; a link to your password will be sent to the e-mail address you provided on your Common Application.

Has anyone else received their password? I still haven’t gotten any other email.

I got it. It took a couple minutes… no more than fifteen though.

@neiro6-- did you have to enter any information, or just click on the link?

@nondairycreamer The “here” link directed me to the ApplyYourself page, from which I followed the directions on the left and did the “forgot password” deal. I had to enter my email and PIN, I think.

If I’m somehow in someway accepted: proooob have a heart attack and freak out. Then I’m going out to Friendlys for this NFTY fundraiser. Then I’m gonna not do any homework/study for Friday :slight_smile:
If I’m rejected: First I’ll probably cry since I’m pretty sensitive. But, I actually think this will motivate me to work harder this year… haha I’ll do my RD (Vassar,BostonU,W&M, UofMaryland). I’ll also wait for UChicago though… omg two rejections would be the worst…

haha @insouciant, i also applied uchicago ea, so if i’m not accepted to columbia, at least ill have some hope for the next few days. Double rejection would suck.

and thank you so much @neiro6, that cleared things up. ALl i did was the “click here” part…haha. I guess the directions weren’t so clear. I just got the email :)

@nondairycreamer no problem :slight_smile: ugh uchicago ea was unrestricted? i should have probably looked into that more… got so wrapped up in columbia didn’t even think of applying anywhere else (except state school) early.

@neiro6-- yup. UChicago was unrestricted EA. Unless you really want to go there if you didn’t get into Columbia, its not such a big deal. You can still apply RD. Just a warning, the extended essay is a killer (or at least was for me). I had to spend a lot of time on it. But it was worth it. I guess they try and weed out the not so interested applicants. Hopefully, you won’t have to apply RD to UChic because you’ll get into Columbia ED :)

@nondairycreamer Yeah, it’s sort of my second choice after Columbia. Not sure if that can outweigh my hatred for essays… though I suppose that’s the point xD
