@nondairycreamer I hope we get into at least one of these schools! Though I’ll just go to W&M, my third love haha. What essay did you do? I did #6- Don’t talk about reverse psychology.

@Clockworkorange7 I chose the living and dreaming. I swear, 90% of the applicants chose the living and dreaming prompt. Hopefully my thesis is unique.

How did you approach that essay? LOL i just stared at it and had no idea what to write. Did you write about reverse psychology? :D

It was risky and I hope it worked… I mean if it didn’t, it didn’t. I used reverse psychology and talked about how they won’t accept me (but then talked about basically why they should).
I hope it works! -fingers crossed-
I was going to do that one and I tried to write it but I kept getting writers block lol

oh wow… i meant to address insouciant. ooops! sorry. That’s an interesting spin on it. Lol, i approached the prompt both scientifically and philosophically, arguing that it depends on how one defines both living and dreaming to determine what is in between :)

I just don’t think there’s any possibility of me getting accepted… so…

^yup same…I can’t let my hopes get up or else I’ll be even more crushed.

I’m trying to convince myself that I have no shot and will be receiving a rejection on Thursday for the same reason.

^ Amen! 10char

@schemmy, I’m the same but I keep imagining getting in so I guess it’s not really working.

A bunch of kids in my school applied EA/ED to other schools (mostly Ivies plus Duke) and are hearing back soon. So they, inevitably, know I hear back on Thursday. I tried so hard to keep it on the down low! I honestly just don’t want the ‘they don’t deserve you!’ comments, those will kill me.

I’m weirdly glad that the Columbia results are coming before the rest of the Ivies (save Cornell). I’m not sure why… Probably cause I don’t want to hear that I got rejected and then have to congratulate a bunch of kids on getting into Yale, lol.

If I get in, I will victory lap around my town faster than Cristiano Ronaldo with a World Cup in his hands. And if I don’t, I don’t have to run. Fair trade off, no?

@schemmy
I have to hold my thoughts back before I start imagining opening up that site and seeing the words “Congratulations, we are glad…”

I’m just like, BAD GIRL. DON’T THINK ABOUT IT. BAD GIRL.

Same here nebbalish. It’s that first word that’s going to stick with me, either way…

“We’re sorry…”

NOOOOOO ;___;

@Nebbalish

Oh god now you have me daydreaming about that agani!! haha.

@Marlon Brandon: Uhm, no you have a chance to go to Columbia, while Ronaldo has no chance winning a World Cup title.

^^^^ I would like that post if there was a like button on CC

ditto lemontreecmta

Im starting to get nervous…

Haha GOOD LUCK GUYS!!! I’m ED at northwestern, but im just looking/surfing at other schools. and btw if you are going to listen to acceptance music this would be my choice: [“I Made It” (Cash Money Heroes) - YouTube](<a href=“Kevin Rudolf - I Made It (Cash Money Heroes) - YouTube”>Kevin Rudolf - I Made It (Cash Money Heroes) - YouTube)
