What will happen?

... If I applied to NYU without SAT subject tests and don't take 2 of them on Jan 24th (the next time they are administered). Will I still be able to get in? Does the absence of SAT IIs automatically invalidate an application?

please help!

Unless you qualify for the exceptions, note the word “Required”.

[NYU > Undergraduate Admissions > Applying for Admission > Freshman Applicants > General Requirements](How to Apply)

“Official score reports from two SAT Subject Test. Required from all students except those applying for any of the programs in Tisch School of the Arts or for the studio art or any of the music programs in the Steinhardt School of Education. (Note: Students applying for programs in the Steinhardt School that do not require an audition or portfolio ARE required to submit scores from two SAT Subject Tests.)”

If you don’t meet the requirements, your application won’t even be considered. Take them if you’re serious about NYU or any other school where they’re required.
