<p>so, just out of curiosity... at academically prestigious colleges (i'm talking pretty much the ones listed in the "Top LACs," "Top Universities" boards here), would they rescind an admitted student whose senior year grades dropped to maybe straight Bs? </p>
<p>assuming said student had mostly As, occasionally Bs every other year. or would the average have to be lower than a B? i know it must vary by school, but as a general rule?</p>
<p>it needs to be a big drop that suggests you totally started slacking, like 4.0---->2.0 and they would send a warning before actually rescinding your admission.</p>
<p>yeah you have to really slack off for them to rescind an admission offer. at most schools as long as you maintain a C average then you're good to go.</p>
<p>Lets say a kid like myself got into an LAC in the midwest with a 3.1 unweighted, and a transcript that already had one or two C+'s on it. If that kid were to take perhaps a high C in two, maybe three classes first semester, is he still fine at mid-year report time? </p>
<p>The end of the year is no biggy, I still have a tough schedule then but the classes suit me better.</p>
