Before i took my SATs…i already chose Penn as a school i was sending it to…and i got really bad scores…1930

But, my ACT is a 32 which isn’t too bad…

On my application for the slots that asked for scores, i left the SAT section blank and only filled out 32 for the ACT…
I did this because i called undegrad admissions and they told me to leave it blank and possibly they woudln’t see it then…but doesn’t sound too reliable

Question is:
Will they look at just my ACT and not even see my SAT? or will they look at both?
Also, if they look at both, will they only take my best score between the 2 tests? which is the ACT, or will they evaluate both scores?

cuz i’m really mad at myself for sending the SATs now…

I thought I did horrible at the ACTs so I left the ACT section blank. But I got my scores back this weeken and I did pretty good. So I am hoping they check out my ACT score. I am quite sure they will look at the highest score, SAT or ACT.

If you had sent both, Penn would have chosen the better one, but they would have seen both your good score and your bad score and that may do something to your application.

Not true, they give as much advantage to the application as possible. They disregard the bad as long as the "bad" aren't required scores. (I know I asked because I did very poorly on one subject test, but I still have enough to meet the requirements, so they would throw the bad test out)

so rd...you're saying that even though they will see the 1930...they will totally ignore it and only use the 32 ACT? It won't even affect them one bit?
