what will you do when you get the thin/fat envelope

With Princeton it's a big envelope.

Yeah, most def. And those of you planning what you're a-gonna do come April when you get some kind of letter, ya better rehearse it thoroughly. 'cause once that letter comes, all the fantasies about what it would be like fly out the window. and it's surreal. one way or another. you may laugh hysterically. you may cry. you may even drool a little. and the world will open up and swallow you, and pretty pink ponies begin dancing and...

i know i was going somewhere with that. scratches head

i got a likely letter, ED for athletics so they called to tell me, here's my story...

sitting in anatomy, phone rings, teacher picks it up. he then turns around to inform me that there's a phone call for me in the front office. i guess the look on my face was rather confused because then he says "if u want to know, it's from Princeton." i then proceed to SPRINT out of class and to the front office. then hand me the phone. the conversation consists of a lot of yes-es and okays on my part as the admit officer tells me i'll be getting a likely and that i should withdraw my other applications. i hang up, turn around and start to cry. the ladies working in the office all get looks on their faces like "aw honey, its ok" and "there will be other places" and start to move forward to comfort me. i then manage to choke out that i got in and the tears are of happiness. they flip, my college counselor comes in and flips. we run around the school to tell the other teachers that did my recs. then my anatomy teacher made our test for next time open note because i got in! it was a fabulous day!

Wow That Is Amazing

beautiful.....

awwww!!! that's amazing, indeed

btw, kinda silly advice: you don't have to withdraw all your other applications, you know. princeton can't make you do that...

It would definitly be amazing! Then financial aid becomes a factor, if its good, then Princeton would be my future home! If not I know Ill recieve a good education wherever I go. Good luck to all applicants, only a few more weeks!

well i did have to since i applied ED, so ur bound to go if u get in....

Yeah. Not withdrawing=bad times for you. A flurry of problems comes tumbling your way, which probably isn't in your best interest to field.
