What will you miss most about high school?

Wow, so I just realized today I have basically 2 months before i graduate (after APs we dont go to school anymore) and it really just hit me that i probably wont see/talk to most of these people at school ever again besides a select few.

I personally think i will miss my high school a lot, for some reason my senior class has gotten so much closer over the summer =P.

anyone else feel the same? what are you gonna miss most about high school? im gonna miss my community service club (interact) which is huge and i love, like my family =P. what will u miss?

you don't go to school anymore after AP's???!!!! [insert shocked and envious face smiley]

i'll miss my high school because that's what normal people do. and i'll miss my old acadeca coach, who's truly been an inspiration to me. and also those random people you have random conversations with yet who somehow manage to brighten your day.

what i won't miss: the bureaucracy and hypocrisy of the school and the district.

the comraderie, the intense pressure of a high school schedule, and the really great teacher

To be brief....very, very little

afterall, high school is another phase in your life. Not wise to look to the past my friends, but to the future

hao - yea well we are supposed to but we just go to school and watch movies and play xbox and a lotta people just dont go =)

really cybero? i think i would miss my counselor too. i have a really really good relationship with him :-/ sad ::tear::

good point cybero...you miss it but high school really is such a small part of your life, esp. if you've been a study monkey.

Shrek- My school has been in a constant state of flux since I started there (was it really that long ago...) as a Freshman. From the highs of the Internet boom to the lows of massive budget cuts, none of the teachers, administration, or student body compisition has been uniform. I went from a school of only 1500 students when I began to one that is now approaching 2300. The administration has either moved on or out of the industry entirely. And those few amazing teachers who have been in the profession for the love of it---we'l retired, and were replaced by lower quality cookie cutter ones. The few teachers I did form a bond with are now scattered around the country. LoL...also my school tends to have a funny sort of peer pressure, instead of stereotypical vices, people are pressured to take AP courses even if they cant handle them. The culture breeds soulless student-robots, whose entire lives revolve around getting into college(SAT, EC's etc....), and exams.

Its not that it was all bad or all good, but as Hao put it...regardless of what it was, its such a small part in the grand scheme of things

definitely my friends but we are planning on meeting once a month because two of my best friends will be going to Rutgers and the other one will be going to school in New York City

The only thing i'll ever miss from my high school is my Science Research teacher, who i've had for all four years (our class has grown really close over the years). Other than that, i dont think i'm gonna lose sleep over any other aspect of my school. And I will always keep in touch those special friends through visits, and World of Warcraft of course, as soon as i get it >D

I'm going to miss most of all my friends and all the cool people who are unfortunetely not close enough that I'll be keeping in touch in college much but are still awesome to talk to and hang around with.

Kev- Darn you Chaparralians, I have finals in 5 of my 7 classes, including 3 of my 5 APs :(

friends, girls, and it takes four years to finally get to know everoyne.

all the wonderful memories of good times and learning experiences...GDC 2005, Let's Ride :)

Seniors at my school take finals the week before AP's, then start internships for 5 weeks, so I only have like, 5.5 more weeks of real school.... And I'm gonna miss my friends, and my boyfriend, and all the teachers who've really influenced me and changed me....I really love my high school.....

I'm going to miss the hope I used to have that more kids in my inner-city high school would turn their life around and try to go to college. Last semester, class size went down from 449 to 433 and is expected to drop into the 400s by the end of the year. Most of the rest of the kids will be going straight into the workforce. A small portion may go to Community College. Only 23 are planning to attend a four year university.

I'm going to miss being on the top 10%.

....

I'm definitely not looking forward to my being in the bottom 25% at Princeton. If I'll even be admitted.

Take easy classes ;)

I'll miss the sheer stature of a senior, in my school, being a senior is a big deal

I'll just miss people, especially--like Silmon says--the ones who are awesome to hang out with but who I'm not close enough to to really keep in contact with.
