What will you miss most about high school?

I'm going to miss all my nerdy IB friends. We gather in the hallway during lunch and usually finish up on some home work we procrastinated on. On Tuesdays, we take turns bringing some kind of dessert...we call it "Cake Tuesdays". :) I'm also going to miss my crazy Japanese class. Anybody else?

playing on friday nights under the lights and all my friends I grew up with, besides that nothing else really

^that's deep. for me, umm so many things come to mind. most likely my friends and all those heated discussions we have about completely pointless or irrelevant topics.

Theatre. Omg am I going to miss my director and the stage I performed on. My English teacher (even though we bicker all the time). My best friend...

Nothing else really. My HS sucks.

her touch and her stunning smile...

just kidding. i'm gonna miss my bros and the bizarre stuff we do every day (singing songs like 'Unbreak My Heart' or 'Hero' whenever we meet in the hallways, inventing new types of unappealing handshakes, bamboozling teachers with our simultaneous intelligence and misuse of said intelligence on the dumbest of things, etc).

Loooooooong hours of rehearsals for Spring Musicals. Spending time with all my amazing friends. Going to lunch with 2 of my friends once a month.

Hmm. the fact that it's probably a lot less homogenous than my college will be, which makes for more interesting observations.

Otherwise, thinking about college! :D and the college admissions game in general. it's kind of fun.

my close friends.......
this is depressing :(

the fact that i won't be able to count down the remaining months until I leave this place for good.

The life I've known for these past four years. The hours put into the newspaper and yearbook. The ups and downs of the Science Olympiad team. The teachers who inspired. The laugh of my closest friends. The seniors that have come and gone and those still yet to come. I will miss it all.

But I am ready for college... I just need the time to savor the last few holdouts of my... childhood here in high school.

Hm, I had a hard time answering this question since I'm at college and I'm having a lot more fun than I've ever had in high school :)

I guess I'd have to say
(1) Studying alone.
(1a) Not looking weirdly antisocial for studying alone.
(1b) Not being surrounded by people who don't read textbooks and just want to get their homework done before the deadline. If I had a nickel for every time I've said "No, I haven't finished the problem set yet, I've been in my room reading the textbook and trying to understand what the heck the teacher said in class" -- well, I'd have a lot of nickels.
(2) My bed. Not having to climb six feet to get to my bed.
(3) My Windows machine. Someone remind me why I installed Linux again.
(4) Parents who did laundry for me.
(5) Cellphone reception.
(6) Closet space.

I thought I'd miss math competitions when I left high school, but it turns out the math at Caltech is a lot more fun, so screw competitions.

Nothing. :)

The advantages of multifarious friendly acquantances!

As much as I hate it now, I bet I'll miss all of the randomness and super-ghetto kids at my school. I doubt that where ever I end up at college will be anything like this. The daily grammar mistakes on the morning announcements make me cringe and smile at the same time. But seriously, I think I'll miss the high school competitive aspect of robotics. I can still be a mentor later, but I know it won't be the same.

Friends

Family

Home

Teachers

Childhood in general

my friends i've known since i was 7.
student activities/student council
spirit weeks
the good teachers
friday night football games <3

i love my school.

The girls.

And I'm serious.

Oh yea, and the people I talk to on a daily basis of course...

My friends, of course...
The clubs I'm in (other than Science Olympiad)
(Some of) my teachers
Random intellectual conversations about Monty Python, Dennis Kucinich, dipoles, slant asymptotes and Pokemon (and of course, spontaneous Mercutio-like jokes).

Right now, I'm still a junior, and it seems somedays like college and the end of this madness is nowhere in sight, but when it finally is over, I'll miss:

Wandering through the hallways- Crowded as they may be, I love the hallway at my school. We only have one gigantic building with no windows, but seeing my friends wave at me crazily is enough sunlight to get me through my day. Those halls are filled with memories, good and bad, from getting caught skipping lunch to dashing to a science class with a friend to sneaking around and avoiding teachers because I didn't go to their class that day.

-Back Stairwells- We have these back stairwells that few people use for getting to class, but that are wonderful for other more devious purposes. Plus they're the only places in our schools with windows, and they make you feel better when things are looking glum. Whether I'm hanging out with a friend when we're supposed to be somewhere else, or making out with a cute guy, those back stairwells are priceless.

-Theater- The only group in the school that will take a bunch of people, no matter how experienced or intellegent they are and put them on stage under a bunch of hot lights and make them stars. Plus, it's the best way to make friends if you suck at sports.

i'll miss being in classes with the same people since i was 7. my friends, especially my druggie friends cuz who knows what'll happen to them after high school... and the ever-present always exciting drama. making fun of freshman. being able to be immature.
