<p>MY PIANO. Seriously, as a non-music major, I worry that my playing level is going to get shot this coming year. Also, one extremely dear friend who I expect I'll never see again.</p>
<p>Otherwise, not much else. It's about time for me to get out of here, I think.</p>
<p>Sherlockian, I forgot about my piano! My dorm doesn't have a private practice room either, so it'd be rude to practice on the public one in the lounge area. I'm bringing my keyboard, which is nice, but it's not the same. And to practice on the ones in the music department you have to pay for a permit and stuff... Oh darn. :(</p>
<p>I'll miss...
-My closest friends. I know that "college friends are better, and that I'll forget all about my HS ones," but there are five or so friends that I just click with, and I will really, really miss talking to them every day about nothing.
-My family and my dog... especially my 4-year-old sister. I'll also miss family parties and being with my crazy cousins.
-Having a private bathroom
-Being able to have occasional "alone time." It's nice coming home after a day out with friends and just being able to go into my room, relax, and read.
-Cross country/track and wind ensemble, since I know I'm not good enough to do XC (division 1, blech) in college, and I suspect I won't make the wind ensemble.
-Although I'm excited to start college (there were so many things about HS that were just so incredibly HS-ish that I can't wait to escape), I'll miss the little things about HS... wandering the halls with friends, joking with teachers, passing notes in class, being able to slack, starting 5 page papers the night before at 10 PM, eating lunch, band... basically being known in HS by most of the students and teachers, and feeling like I "conquered" HS.
-My radio show with four other girls, two of which I had never really talked to before, but with whom I nonetheless had some of the best conversations of my life.</p>
<p>My guinea pig, first and foremost. I plan on calling the house and getting mom to put me on speakerphone so he can hear me....I love my Harvey boy.</p>
<p>Possibly my mom and grandma...</p>
<p>My church</p>
<p>My high school teaches, who I plan on emailing and visiting every one and awhile (3 of them).</p>
<p>weird, i was just thinking about this today...
i'm really going to miss my dad. I have four brothers and sisters, (only two little brothers live at home, but the other two live close by) and it kind of feels like i'm leaving him to fend for himself, because we're kind of allies in the house. you know- we think the same, and we're mostly into a lot of the same things. poor dad.
other than that- not having to do my own laundry is somthing i'll probably miss, but having to vacuum twice a week? nope. :)</p>
<p>When I left, I only missed one or two friends and even then we still talked on the phone or though aim. The rest I was so glad to get away from.</p>
<p>^^ it really depends on ur high school and college. i met some amazing people in high school and i definitely still wanna keep in touch with my closer friends. and ive met some cool people in college as well. everybody has their own opinion on high school and college friends. the thing is to just go out there and meet new people yet keep in touch with the friends u care about in high school</p>
<p>MY MOM, my cats, my car, my friends my brother, maybe even my dad. Being able to wander into the living room and lay next to my mom. My cluttered but homey room. Candles</p>
<p>FRESH AIR. They seem to only have that in Alaska...
MY CAR. Ohhh gosh I will miss my car soooo much. Car=freedom. But being 3000 miles away from home=freedom also :)
family and old friends. This is a given, but I'm sure I'll find new people to hang out with!
FOOD! My mom's cooking is the bomb.
And most of all, the days of not having to pay for food and housing is gone :(</p>
<p>But I'm sure it will definitely all be worth it...college here I come!!!!</p>
<p>i will totally miss having my own room, and bathroom. i'll probably go to the same college as a lot of my friends, so its not like i won't see them around. and i watch online tv, so that doesnt' really matter anyway either...</p>
<p>Srsly, I'm gonna miss being able to control the quality of my food. It's not a matter of being well-fed, it's a matter of getting my cholesterol down a few mg/dL....</p>
