What would AP Science Credits Do?

Hello,

I have taken AP Chem and AP Bio and I am wondering how those credits would play out at umich. I received a 5 on both exams. If I did Ross (starting sophomore year), would these credits still have any effect? In other words -- is there a science requirement for LSA freshman year that ap science credits would be useful for? Also, would these credits have an effect different than, let's say, ap english credits would? Thanks :)

AP Bio/Chem credits do not fulfill anything for Ross, and they do not fulfill any LSA requirements. They give you general elective credits towards your 120 credits required for graduation and exempt you from introductory courses in these fields. They don’t count for the LSA Natural Science distribution requirement (the requirement is to take minimum 7 credits of Natural Science courses before you graduate). AP English would do the same thing. You would be exempt from an intro course and you would receive elective credit, no distribution credit.

incredibly helpful, entenduintransit. thanks so much :)
