Hi, so I’ve narrowed it down to U of I, UIC, and Loyola University. I will major in biology at all; however, in the future I plan on becoming a pharmacist or a physicians assistant. Since I did not apply for GPPA at UIC or Dual Acceptance at Loyola, do you think it would make a difference where I would get my undergrad at to succeed in the medical field??
It doesn’t matter where you go. Earn a high GPA and keep the costs low for grad school.
As long as you like all three schools, I’d go with the cheapest one. They’ll all get the job done so long as you apply yourself. Unless you got significant scholarships to Loyola, UIC and UIUC should be your cheapest options. My naviance says that UIC is about 2k/year cheaper, but if your family can swing the cost, I’d say UIUC. I think that the prestige at UIUC is actually worth the extra cost in this situation, UNLESS it’ll put you in debt, in which case UIC is your best option.
Thank you for your input!!
