What would be my chances of getting in?

I live in Australia and haven't finished high school yet, but one of my dreams is to go to NYU (or Columbia). I know this dream is a bit far fetched, but I am I working really hard to achieve it, and I wanted to come on here and find out my chances of getting into NYU. Say if I got an O.P. 1 or 2, which are the highest ending results you can get where I live, and a good SAT of over 2000, would I have a good chance? Would being from Australia be a potential hook? And what would be the chances of possibly getting financial aid? Thank you!

really? nothing? no one can tell me whether or not being from Australia and having a high GPA / SAT will give me a (better) chance of getting into NYU? if any chance at all?

Being from Australia isn’t a “hook”. NYU has one of the largest international student populations of any school - obviously the name NYU is usually quite recognizable around the globe, thus it receives a great number of international applicants. Other than that, you stand a pretty good chance for CAS. Stern is a completely different matter.
