Hi, I have been waitlisted at some super top LAC. What would be the right kind of approach should I make? Should I tell them I have also been waitlisted at another school or not? I mean it would look bad if all schools rejected me since they would think something must be really wrong with this kid. Should I tell them I got accepted into my safety or not? Since I really want to show desperation as I did not get sufficient aid (plus the school is not generous) from my safety.

Bump. Does anyone not have any takes on this?

You might want to ask this in “College Admissions” subforum.
I think people there should know more about it.

lol showing them that you got into your safety might invite a “fine go ahead then” response

best is to write in to convey your continued interest in the school and that you will definitely attend if accepted (its your first choice)…could probably add in a little extra info on y u tink u’re a gd fit (like some band player the college lacks etc.)

You dont have to mention abt any other college.. show them your interest in the college and let them know that you desperately want to attend that college.. send in an additional reco if you can, maybe of your employee or principal of your high school. You should also send your recent grades if they were not sent previously.

Just stay active on the waitlist. Keep projecting your interest in the college. You dont need to tell them about other colleges.

Send your recent achievement, if any, and also another rec. if possible. There is thread in the College Admissions about how to get off the waitlist.

Good Luck! :)

Thanks you guys. All of you have been so helpful! I really appreciate it.
