I am a junior in high school, and currently taking chemistry, im doing pretty good, i have a ~92, but i need to take an SAT II. I plan on applying for engineering for most of my schools. Now i dont know whether to buy a Barrons Review Book on the Physics SAT II which ill take the actual course next year. So my question is should i take the SAT II chemistry in which i have a notes and have a good teacher or teach myself Physics and take the Physics SAT II?

As I understand it, you have taken chemistry and will not take physics until senior year. You are doing well in chemistry. Based on that, I would say take chemistry. There is no college engineering program that requires the physics SAT II for admission. Those that require IIs (which is a minority of colleges) often require (or recommend) for engineering a math and a science (of your choice). Other than the score you might get (and odds say taking a test in a course you have already taken gives you a better chance of scoring well), there is no advantage in admissions to taking physics rather than chemistry or chemistry rather than physics.

Well Carnegie Mellon says this:
