What would happen if I don't complete my app?

<p>I was going to apply to Caltech, and even had teacher and counselor recommendation sent. But now I decided that I don't want to apply any more; do I need to inform them? or should I just let the deadline pass? thanks in advance.</p>

<p>No, not really. Essentially nothing will happen and nobody will care... colleges don't review applications until they're complete. You might receive some junk mail, and/or a message from the college indicating that your application file is incomplete -- but probably not even that if you had recs sent, but didn't fill out an actual application.</p>
