I was going to apply to Caltech, and even had teacher and counselor recommendation sent. But now I decided that I don't want to apply any more; do I need to inform them? or should I just let the deadline pass? thanks in advance.

i did this with tufts, and i'm wondering the same thing too. if anyone knows that would be great.

i plan on doing to this to a lot of colleges im a lazy bum who does not want to write essays. does anyone know?

No, not really. Essentially nothing will happen and nobody will care... colleges don't review applications until they're complete. You might receive some junk mail, and/or a message from the college indicating that your application file is incomplete -- but probably not even that if you had recs sent, but didn't fill out an actual application.

Colleges hire headhunters especially for this situation
