I'm a high school senior and had horrible freshman year grades, bringing my gpa down. I now have an upward trend in gpa, but still only have a 3.6 gpa-weighted (my high school is top 100 high school).
So I am planning to go to either a VA state school (Tech or JMU) or GW or American.

But what will it take if lets say I wanted to transfer from one of those schools above to Georgetown? Or John Hopkins? Or William and Mary (instate)? Tufts?

What would be the average gpa requirement, and activities which would seem stellar to transfer admissions?
Can I transfer after one completed year? Or do I need two or more? And should I transfer, or should I just go there for graduates degree?

first of all you’re probably going to have a hard time getting into those schools out of HS with a 3.6 weighted. Just do the best you can. Put it this way, if you get a 4.0, you have nothing to worry about, you’re almost guaranteed admission to GT/JH/WM/Tufts. There’s no set GPA that will get you in, but shoot for no less than like 3.6 in college.

If you have completed a full year of college, all that counts is your college transcript. I am not sure they would even ask you to submit the test scores.
