Personally, I think one of the advantages Kenan Flagler has over McCoombs is a little more of an East Coast/Wall Street connection. My husband's partner is a Harvard alum (and has a JFK school named after him) and I understand, through this connection, the highly selective grad schools think a lot of Kenan.

Do you know if McCoombs is smaller than Kenan? My d is definitely not a business major (much to my husband's dismay), but one reason, she opted for UNC-CH is because her major was within the COLA at UT-Austin and she was afraid of being one of thousands with virtually identical resumes attempting to get into grad school. She felt she would have a little more of an advantage graduating from a smaller school where her resume would not be so common.

Yes, that seems right. I heard 900 per year in McCombs and 100 in BHP. Thank you for the link. UNC- Chapel Hill and UT Austin Plan II and BHP are, so far, my first choices (and the only schools I have been accepted to :P ) which means that I have a lot of thinking to do. I am glad to hear that your daughter is having an excellent experience at UNC.

btw...congratulations on BHP and McCombs. Truly, either UT-Austin or UNC-CH will serve you extremely well in your career goals. Both are topnotch.

My d does love UNC-CH. She really struggled with the choice between UT-Austin and UNC-CH because all of her friends are at UT. And she has a boyfriend who attends college in Texas. There are still occasional bouts of homesickness when it is time to return after a visit home. But once she is there, she is very happy. The educational and social aspects have been outstanding and the town of Chapel Hill is wonderful. I think she made a good choice.
