<p>If you could change one thing about your high school, just ONE thing, what would it be, and why?</p>

Everyone is white, I’m like one of three people in my grade, lmao.</p>
<p>I wish people weren’t so… suburban. I grew up in an urban neighborhood until last year… people here are so freakin’ conservative, haha.</p>
<p>Less separation between the “high-achieving” and “average” kids. Tracking happens way too early and is way too deep of a divide. It also tends to be quite along racial lines. I feel like there’s a whole half of my senior class I have never met. I don’t even recognize their names half the time, and my class is only about 300.</p>

<p>More liberal policies on class skipping - **** the foreign language department head for not letting me take AP French next year.</p>
<p>A close second would be the elimination of the AP tryout process.</p>
<p>Open campus policy so we can actually eat lunch, and a longer lunch period (25 minutes is not quite enough)…</p>

<p>hmm…i go to a pretty nice middle class high school, but thats sometimes a con. people aren’t thaaat conservative where i live, just uncultured.</p>
<p>i’d also like to change the ap classes for my school. in my school, you have to take physics/chem/bio 1 before taking ap which is labeled in my school physics/chem/bio 2 AP. theres also physics/chem/bio 2 honors (waste of credit imo)</p>
<p>i wish we had some cool AP electives besides AP psych. like AP human geography, AP environmental science, or microeconomics. i haven’t heard of many schools around me with these though and my school has a good number of AP courses.</p>

<p>Yeah, I think my issue with my school is that, since it’s an all-girls’ school, there’s little room for me to explore my interests…AP Computer Science was dropped, so I have to teach myself; No AP Physics classes are offered; there are very few academic clubs, etc.</p>

<p>I would find deadlines to be preferable.</p>
<p>Definitely the cut-throat competition.</p>
<p>I would also like to get rid of <em>some</em> teachers.</p>
<p>We could use less stupider guidance counselors…</p>
