What would you choose 1 million dollars or an admission to your dream college?

this is easy;

take the school admission

because if you do well youll make millions after you graduate!

I'd take the million, then try to get into my dream school with the chances I already have. If I fail, hey, at least I have 1 million.

I would take the $1,000,000 up front. Instant gratification, and being a millionaire UCLA graduate is arguably more prestigious than being a working-class Ivy League graduate.

one million only??! hmmm... that's probably going to be lowered to the value of 500,000 come 2 to 5 years from now soo....

i'm taking admission to my dream school. definitely.

^^Yeah, only $500,000. It's not like I'd spend much of the million during college anyways (except to pay for college). Put that million dollars into a bank with a decent interest rate (say 2%), and that's 20K after one year, compounding annually. (My bank compounds every six months.)

anyways.......... is that like anyhows????

anyway....

I'd easily choose admission into the college of my dreams over 1 million.

anyways---> i like that word. use it everytime when i'm talking with my gfs. :D

I say "anyways" when I mean "anyway." It's just how I talk. I've been trying to fix it, to no avail.

The Krueger & Dale study at the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation Research Center found that although graduates from elite colleges make significantly more money, that there is no significant difference in income between those who had been accepted at those schools but had chosen to go elsewhere.

Cornell! over the one million......

dream school, def. of course, idk what school is my dream school anymore, so maybe ill rethink that :p

mine's Stanford! :D ah... dream school... i'd give anything to go there...

if you don't know what's your DS, then i don't know what i'm going to major in.... :D

wow... obviosuly one million and invest it!

Jo.InC...Stanford's mine too. I guess the fact I already got in and my family can't pay for it kinda skewed my choice.

pats on the back. god, that's harsh... so where do you go now?

afraid of her chances

Dunno. USC and Santa Clara would be my second choices...I'm more likely to go to SCU because I have a better shot at a scholarship there (my stats > those who are getting interviews for USC). And if that doesn't work out - full tuition scholarship at Pitt is in the bag. Though I must admit, I am sick of cold weather.

I wouldve taken the million a year ago. Now thanks to CC I've gotten my priorities straight :)

i'd take the money and buy my way into duke, because there's no way i'm getting in otherwise...
