If you had a choose between these college, which would you choose based on academics, location, vibe, community, cost, and anything else...
-Columbia
-Standford
-Cornell

I’d choose Columbia. I feel like it’s the best fit for my major (IR), I love NYC, and the relative lack of a campus doesn’t bother me. The political activity of the students appeals to me, as does the historical involvement of the school in matters of scale (Manhattan Project, major research papers, lectures, etc.). The students who I know who go there love it, and the Core Curriculum (which is a defining feature of a Columbia education) does not bother me.

Cornell on the other hand is too cold, too remote, and too pressured. Even if the suicide rate is at the national average, I don’t get the impression that the students have a ton of fun, at least not until classes are over. Also, too many people from my school go there.

Stanford is simply too far away. Plane flights are a no-no, unless it’s an absolute perfect fit dream school, which Stanford isn’t for me. It’s a little too math/science oriented, and I’d prefer being on the East Coast in general to increase the availability of government internships. That being said, Stanford would be an easy choice over Cornell.

DISCLAIMER: I am not a doctor, lawyer, Indian chief, admissions counselor or college advisor. This reflects my personal opinion, as I have reflected by making references to my thought processes. Do not base your college decision off of what I have said, if you are lucky enough to be in the situation of picking between these schools. If you do so, I may have to sue you for identity theft/intellectual property theft.

I dont get waht you mean by that?

Half joking. I wasn’t sure whether you were proposing this for fun or if you actually wanted to use this to decide where to go to school.

What is Standford? Did you mean Stanford?

Stan(d)ford. Lol.

ooops typo lol I just wanted to see what other people’s opinions were and why they thought so.

■■■■■? Most students who get into those schools know how to spell them. Stanford - Columbia is awesome but for a young person a university environment is best. Cornell does not belong in the conversation between Stanford and Columbia (dare I say)

Well im a human not machine to get everything right 100% of the time, but thanks for your opinion(Troll__)

Stanford, purely because of weather

Personally, I’d choose Stanford. I like its suburban location, and the weather’s certainly much better than the other two.
