what do u think the admissions committee would do if someone wrote this in their essay

"If you reject me, I will commit suicide"

lol. its like princeton's fault if the kid dies how sad. lol

I think...they would reject you...
and report you to a psychiatrist.

nothing. just finish up my other apps in time and do things the same way.

Where's the passion???

bottled up. i let it out for the app and now pending acceptance im waiting to pop the top once more.

lol so how will you act if you do get in?

Thinks to himself: "Hmmmmmm. Interesting. They used recycled paper for this acceptance letter. You'd think it was from Brown..."
--zoudini

i'll let u know if/when it happens (besides, this has gotta be on the other thread right?)

lol Kebree! That's awesome

and yea zoudini, fantasize with us!

having just written an english paper, im still kinda in that whole freudian psychoanalysis mode, and out of context, that could be construed in a number of different ways

I get funnier (i.e. weirder) as it gets later and later at night....and by the time it's 3am or so, well, you can probablement imagine....

Whoa, I broke into French...that doesn't happen too often...
then again, "probablement" is my favorite word so maybe it makes sense.

wow didnt even notice that until you pointed it out and btw amazing artwork

Thanks =)
I hope the paintings of Princeton help, haha...that was a really sudden, really strange idea that hit me last summer (so of course I acted on it immediately...yay for spontaneity).

well yea spontaneity (and a small sum of money) made me eat a golfball of wasabi once... i dont think ive ever cried that hard before... and strangely enough it was at princeton

Golfball-sized? And you're alive? The most I've ever had is about 8 square mm's worth...I thought I was brave, too, heh...

it was a dare/bet... ive got coercive friends (2 of whom play lax for you guessed it, p'ton)

I hope you won a lot of money/respect!

Jumping back to the initial topic, if I get deferred, I'm going to write letters to my regional adcom, the head adcom.... And I'll probably gather a few more recs from teachers. My gut tells me that if a defer comes and I sit around and do nothing until April, I'll probably get nothing in return except a thin envelope.

Actually there are 55-60 EDers here. That will be 10% of the total acepted ED pool. Not so impossible that they could all be in, is it ? :-) If Princeton is all about getting in intelligent, interesting and passionate people, I see that all 55-60 here fit that bill, reading the various posts.

If they defer, you are still ahead in the RD race because they know that Princeton was your first choice. Being proactive as c_j suggests will help a lot.

If you are rejected, it need not be because you are not good enough for Princeton, but perhaps the adcom feels you will be happier in some other place. For instance, they might think that you will be happier in an MIT or Swarthmore or Yale, given the type of personality they make of you from your acheivements and essays.
