What would you do if you got rejected (or deferred)?

lol but you're cute!

...or so i've been told... :p

My math teacher says that if I don't get in he'll get in his car, drive down to their admission office, and ask them what they were thinking.

He's awesome...

id lock myself in my room with all the windows open(December!), and seriously consider suicide, after that, I'd finally decide that life is going to go on and turn to start cramming for the finals.

Well, truth is, out of all of you who are posting on this board it is probable that only a couple of you will be accepted.

Okay :-/

Very true, and in case of fellow Indians, it seems even more likely. They wouldn't want 10 or 20 Indians in their class of '09 when they admit only ~100 internationals.

I would sue them for 45 days of unecessary cruelty and suffering

RKATC, that was a bit unnecesssary - we all know this already, so give it a rest! Let us enjoy our remaining 24 days of blissful ignorance.

A couple? As in 2? No, out of 60 people, I'm pretty sure that more than 2 are going to get in. I don't like specific numbers, but I'd say at the minimum ten will get in...

mental picture of all of the P-ton CC thread rushing the admissions office and violently banging on the door with their fists

oooh, with torches too! And we'll chant stuff that doesn't make sense, make them scared out of their wits, and make them accept all of us. Woohoo! Now that was an idea, gracil.

I was wondering, suppose all of you get in (ie from CC) except one, what would you guys do??

Haha. With my luck, that one person will probably be me.

curse the gods, ha

"Oh Apollo, why do you punish me so? It's not as if I married my mother and murdered my father...."

(Antigone by Sophocles?)

Isn't that Oedipus Rex, not Antigone?

no. not antigone.

definitely oedipus

sorry i'm all greek-geeked out right now because of ap lit, my teacher's obsessed

Totally oedipus lol

From the Bible to the popular song,
There’s one theme that we find right along.
Of all ideals they hail as good,
The most sublime is motherhood.

There was a man, oh, who it seems,
Once carried this ideal to extremes.
He loved his mother and she loved him,
And yet his story is rather grim.

There once lived a man named oedipus rex.
You may have heard about his odd complex.
His name appears in freud’s index
’cause he loved his mother.

His rivals used to say quite a bit,
That as a monarch he was most unfit.
But still in all they had to admit
That he loved his mother.

Yes he loved his mother like no other.
His daughter was his sister and his son was his brother.
One thing on which you can depend is,
He sure knew who a boy’s best friend is!

When he found what he had done,
He tore his eyes out one by one.
A tragic end to a loyal son
Who loved his mother.

Sorry gracilisae, I'm not trying to be cruel. I'm just attempting to be realistic. A lot of you seem like you will be absolutely devistated if you do not get it, but it is just one school. I'm sorry, but a lot of you won't get in. That's OK. You are all obviously very intelligent people and will do well regardless of where it is you attend undergraduate school.

And yes, I do think only a few of you will be admitted. Few as in 5 or 6. It is a school of 5,000 with a huge applicant pool and a very small admissions rate. It just sounds like a lot of you are laying too much on the line for Princeton. If you don't get in, it'll be ok.
