I go to a virginia CC.. have a little more than one semester left before I complete an associates degree in science/business.. I only applied to (accepted to both) Virginia Tech and George Mason. My GPA is 3.76.. will be higher after this semester.

I'm having trouble deciding if i should go to VT and major in Information Technology or Accounting... or stay the fall semester and apply to schools like UVA, UNC, etc.. what do you guys think..

Anybody know any GOOD schools that accept spring applicants

Oh and I did 5 years in the USMC so IM 25... consider that

If you have the financial backing, I'd go for UVA. I'd tack on William and Mary to that list and try to keep it local, financially speaking.

UVA is very good. No reason as to why you shouldn't give it a shot. If business is your thing, I'd give UVA a shot for sure. UNC is a good school as well. I see no reason at to why you shouldn't be accepted into either. Keep in mind that UVA is a lot harder to matriculate into from what I've come across as a transfer student. It is one of the best undergrad bschools.

Economics can also be a major at UVA if you do decide to go there.

UNC for some reason only takes Fall transfers. A positive for UNC is that unlike UVA, which will only transfer up to 60 hours of credit, UNC will take up to 75 hours of credit. Also, UNC doesn't consider residency for transfers, so you'll have a very good chance at being accepted as long as you keep above a 3.6.

One odd thing I read on one of the UVA threads is that it's harder to transfer there for the Spring semester as opposed to the Fall semester.

yeah money is not really an object I have the GI bill and also my parents money they saved for my education plus disability from the military so i can afford to go out of state... i just dont want to wait until fall 09.....

UVA 100%. Especially considering they have a guranteed transfer agreement w/ VCCS, it just seems like something way too good to pass up. Just my opinion.
